For decades we have needed to expand our existing veterinary colleges to allow them to produce more new graduates each year, but doing that requires tax money. Voters have consistently rejected these expansion recommendations, and now we are dealing with the consequences.
Blue Cross Veterinary Clinic was established in 1929 by Dr. Roy Clarke, a veterinarian, and World War I veteran. In those days, the term “Red Cross” meant direct medical services, and “Blue Cross” meant medically related support services. That also includes services for pets!
“Grays Harbor Crud” is a catch-all term for the skin problems dogs and cats get from the damp climate here in coastal Washington. Sometimes these skin problems are allergies, sometimes yeast infections or bacterial infections, sometimes all of them at the same time! Prescription medications are often needed to treat these skin problems.
